One day pop up exhibition by Sanpo Matsumoto at Lazy Susan Gallery,NYC.

Sanpo summon URBAN SPIRIT(S) from an ordinary street corner.
URBAN SPIRIT(S) are supernatural beings, spiritual entities,They are living next to our dairy life.
URBAN SPIRIT(S) are called "gods" or sometime called "devil" by humans.
Humans judge their category with the usefulness for the human's life.
URBAN SPIRIT(S) are born from various invisible phenomena and live on human's emotions.
Faith makes them to highest being,lower level SPIRIT(S) are similar like mischievous children,
but,higher level SPIRIT(S) have high intelligence and affectionate heart.

Sanpo is multimedia artist.
He create short film,electronic music and grafiti style painting.
His art works relate to a narrative thing.
he imagines an invisible another world from dairy trinket things.

We have the exhibition featured Indonesian art collective ASP from Jogjakarta,Indonesia.

In this exhibition we invites ASP to emerging awesome art space Synesthesia located Bushwick.
The exhibition curated by Mr.Yokouchi who is owner of ASP for introducing present local art scene of Jogjakarta.
Jogja is one of hot spot of art scene of Indonesia.

We have opening party on this 17th(Sat).
Local art unit,P(art)Y LAB has special performance from Jogja via internet for the show at 9pm.

--ASP (Artist Support Project)--
ASP(Artist Support Project) was launched by kentaro Yokouhi.
There are four exhibition rooms, as well as kenta's studio and residence.
ASP is a space for Indonesian and Japanese people to communicate and exchange knowledge and skills, but is actually open to everyone.
It is interested not only in the relationship between Indonesia and Japan - intention is to make our lives and activities richer by reflecting on Yogyakarta's situation and circumstance as a city within the whole of South East Asia.
The main activities of ASP are exhibitions, workshops and presentations; the introduce of book related to Japanese language classes; and the archiving of activities.
